The season is changing...it's getting cooler and crisper outside...Other things are changing as well. We are continuing our reading of The Pursuit of God by A. W. Tozer. (That has not changed!) What is different is that we will be slowing down the pace of our reading so that we cover only one chapter per meeting. The overwhelming feedback from participants is in favor of this. Instead of finishing the book in December, we will be stretching it out over the Winter/Spring. It is more important to go deeper than just quickly go on.
If you are looking for a new challenge (and blessing), I want you to know that anyone is WELCOME to come at any time! We are a diverse group of ladies who want to pursue God, read and discuss Christian classics, and build relationships with others on the journey.We would love for you to join us! We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday nights from 7-8 @ Common Ground at Fairhaven Church. Please bring your copy of the book (or purchase it @ Common Ground) and your Bible. If you are interested in joining us but are not currently on the email list, please contact the church so that I can send you the study guides.
For our next meeting on Nov. 2, we will be discussing Chapter 3, "Removing the Veil". If you have already read it (and done the study questions), take some time to delve further. Rev. 4:11. How do we glorify God? Hebrews 9:1-14 ; 10:19-23. What does it mean to enter the Holy Place? How do you see this in your own life? How would you like to see it?
Let's shift our gaze from our daily concerns...glance only at these and learn to ponder and gaze at God.
