Welcome to iRead and our discussion of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's classic, The Cost of Discipleship. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Fairhaven Church's Common Ground. The new assignment is to read Matthew 5: 1-32 and then from the text, Chapters 8, 9 and 10 and then REread Chapter 1. We will also be open to discussing ideas/thoughts from Chapters 29 and 30 that we were not able to get to last time! Come with thoughts/questions to share and discuss!
There is a calendar change; Dec 5 will be the only meeting in December. I have cancelled Dec. 19 since it is too close to Christmas and an especially busy family time. The next meeting will be Wednesday, January 16, 2013.
As always, if you are new to Fairhaven and/or a current attender looking for a small community, we welcome you to try us out! There is no registration nor is attendance taken. We are here to walk alongside each other as we strive to stretch and grow by reading and discussing challenging Christian literature. The Cost of Discipleship is available for purchase at discount from Common Ground at Fairhaven.
